Born April 11th, 1989 in Atlantic City New Jersey to Essie Aikens and Woodlee Doris, the first six or seven years of my life was spent in Pleasantville New Jersey. Thereafter, I moved to Atlantic City New Jersey and got off to a kind of rough start growing up. The streets of AC were hard. I was always getting into trouble, fights and things like that. I met my best friend Omar Curry at the age of 8 years old. Soon after we met he told me to put my passion of fighting to some good use, that’s when we found the A.C. P.A.L. Where I began boxing at the age of 10. I met Vincent Jackson and Bill Johnson who started to train us and that’s who still trains me to this day. As an amateur boxer I went 48 wins 12 losses, fought the likes of Danny Garcia, Jesse Hart and Julian Williams. In my younger days as an amateur at the age of 17, I traveled to Dominican Republic and competed in my first open class tournament out of the country. I lost in the semi-finals. I then made my professional debut in April 2011 in my hometown of Atlantic City New Jersey, winning a 4th round KO over Willie Mack. From there I went 10-0 and in May of 2015 I signed a promotional deal with King’s Promotions which has put me in some amazing fights and has given me opportunities that I would not have gotten on my own. Boxing has given me so much. I currently work for Aaron’s Sales and Lease and I still manage to juggle my boxing career life as a fighter, it’s been great to me and I look to accomplish so much more down the line. I hope to be Champion someday.
